Unit 6 Blog Exercise

Universal Loving-Kindness
The universal loving-kindness exercise allows one to look outside of themselves as the ones in need, however, to identify those throughout the world whom may be in need.  This exercise allows one to be grateful and thoughtful for what they have and wish for others to experience what they are experiencing or have.  This exercise allows one to clear the mind of negative thoughts and feeling they may have towards others in the environment.

Integral Health Assessment
The assessment process allows one to look at all four aspect of integral health ( psychospiritual, biological, interpersonal, and worldly) and identify which level needs to be further developed to allow the one to complete and develop a high level of integral health.

During both of the exercise I discovered that I am a person that wants universal loving-kindness for all creators and that I already practice this exercise in my daily prayer.  In addition, I discovered that I understand that to have and move to a high level of integral health one must make the connection of all four aspects and develop all six levels associated with integral health.  The area I chose to be of focus of growth and development is worldly flourishing.  The reason is why I have chosen this area is due to that I believe that I need to involve myself into my aspect of the world such as mentoring more, doing more of my missionary duties and becoming more involved with my sons school activities.  The activities I believe that I can do to help me reach and develop a wellness in this area of worldly flourishing, I can visit the sick more in the hospitals and nursing homes, go to the local high schools and encourage the students on how to be productive in life.

  1. Wanda,
I think it is always great when we take the focus off of ourselves and start to focus on others even when we do not know them personally. Good thoughts and good intentions are always positive. I say "what you send out you get back 4 folds". I always try to have the attitude "pay it foward and expect nothing in return expect an enriched soul.

Man, I wish I had it planned out as good as you do. At this point, I have to work on myself and get to the point where I can have such a worldly view as you do. I would love your inspiritation. tammie
